Audience of One?

Yay I am rather happy... just came back from CG outing and just finished my first run of playing A Guit for service! (Acoustic Guitar)... The thing I want to share is about the 3pm prayer meeting though...

I just started re-reading a book, titled "Every man, God's man"... I got the book when Sun Ce was alive... (Just a methaphor... or a figure of speech... whatever! It just means that I got the book long long ago). And I hit the second chapter, titled "Our Divided Hearts".

I will not share the entire chapter here, since it is a rather long chapter, but the part that hit me was the subchapter titled "Letting Fear Limit You?" This chapter mainly talks about how fear can stop you fulfilling God's purpose for you on earth. And reading the chapter, I found it quite true...

When you do something and want to do it well, you got to be fully commited to it. Whatever we want to do in life, most of the time we have to do it with a full heart and not half-heartedly (or a divided heart). Well, with commitment and perseverance, whatever we want to do in life can be fulfilled. Check out Liu Xiang for example (Chinese olympic runner, broke the world record for 100m sprint... Not Liu Bei's cousin! That is Liu Zhang) Anyway... a lot of Christians are like lukewarm in that sense. Me included. 'Cos when we want to follow the purpose Jesus wants us to fulfil, there are a lot of obstacles in the way. Like for example, if God wants you to bring the gospel to school and share about it, there are a number of fears.
1. Fear of being ridiculed
2. Fear of being rejected
3. Getting reprimanded or suspended for spreading a teaching that can cause a full scale riot.
And etc.

So, when there are a lot of stuff blocking us from God's objective for us, we tend to take the other, easier route. But that route usually gets you far from God. Of course, when we take a sharp (illegal to the devil's eyes) U-Turn from our ways and return to God's given path, God will still welcome us, just like in the parable of the prodigal son.

The other line that sent a laser-guided ICBM (inter-continental ballastic missile) (figuratively) to me was this line, "God's man lives only for an audience of One".

This line seems rather easy to claim, but it was super difficult to live for an audience of One. It is possible, of course, but tough.

During prayer meeting today, I was partner-ing Ben and I was like saying something like this during the prayer

"God, let us be filled with your Holy Spirit so that we can actually claim that all we need (and want) is You"

I dunno but it seems quite retarded after that... But I could not help questioning myself. Is it possible? I guess it is possible...

Whatever God set us out to do, I guess we have to do it. I believe that when God is happy with what I do, I do not need to care about what people say. I don't know, my spiritual life is super dry... Really need a re-dedication soon.... and a re-consecration.

That's about all I gotta say... Too lazy to color the paragraphs...

"Everythin' comes alive in my life as we lift you up"
"Free-dom is here"
