God Intervention

Hopefully this is a short post...

My sister came back today from school all flustered. Apparently her PW (Project Work) idea is rejected by the teacher and my sister was "ranting" about how the teacher was being the direct opposite of "helpful and understanding" (Is that how you view teachers? Cos I do). My parents were telling her to pray for God's help. From the way I see the situation, the only solution without any involvment of murder is God's intervention. Will not post on the details, cos it is rather sensitive... but it got me thinking... as usual.

When we do our work, from studies to community service etc., don't we all wish that we do not encounter any problems when we work? Problems usually = more work and a chain of rubbish. So when we ram head-first into a deadly situation, like for example everyone is strangely being unreasonable to you, it is not a joke. (Unless they are that creative to go to that level) It is the devil's juniors at work. We are not so "honoured" (in that sense) for the devil himself to come tempt us or cause havoc for us.

Remember. The devil is such a noob compared to God, who is everywhere, knows everything, and is all powerful. The devil, however, quite a noob compared to God (yay God! Three cheers for God!) The devil can only be at one place at any one time, he only knows what anyone else (his own demons, humans etc.) tells him/discovers, and he is not powerful at all. After all, Jesus smashed the devil when Jesus died and rose again on the third day!

But yet, the devil's subordinates are still all out to disrupt our lives. And things like this (above), which no man can find a solution, are the sub's work. Of course, God can intervene for us! Yeah! God is the solution! Which brings me to this song:

Solution
Verse 1
It is not a human right
To stare, not fight
What broken nations dream
Open up our eyes so blind
That we might find
The mercy for the need

Pre-Chorus
Hey now, fill our hearts with your compassion
Hey now, as we hold to our confession

Verse 2
It is not too far a cry
Too much to try
To help the least of these
Politics will not decide
When we should rise
And be your hands and feet (Let's sing)

Chorus
Whoa-oh!
God be the solution
Whoa-oh!
We will be your hands and be your feet

Verse 3
Higher than all circumstance
Your promise stands
Your love for all to see
Higher than our protest lines
And dollar signs ($$)
Your love is all we need

(awesome interlude)

Bridge
Only you can mend the broken heart
And cause the blind to see
Erase complete the sinner's past
And set the captives free

Only you can take the widow's cry
And cause her heart to sing
Be a father to the fatherless
Our saviour and our king

We will be your hands
We will be your feet
We will run this race for the least of these
In the darkest place
We will be your light
We will be your light

Ending
We will run
We will run
We will run with the solution

We will be your hands
We will be your feet
We will run this race for the least of these
In the darkest place
We will be your light
We will be your light

Awesome song! Anyway...

God will intecede for us once we get overrun by the subs. And the moment God does that, the solution becomes visible.

It is the same with our spiritual lives. When we find a roadblock and we cannot hear what God wants for us, most of us (me included) will turn around and head home. Jesus rose from the dead. What problem is too big for him?

Amen!

God be the Solution!
