废物 (along with a dedication)

Rubbish. Why do people call others rubbish?

Or more accurately, 废物... (to the benefit of all non-chinese readers, this means rubbish)

Someone in my class called another "废物" just now. And obviously she went to emo later.

But actually, what makes you think you have the right to call others 废物? We are all blessed and have talents in different areas. Do you know that if you call someone else 废物 you are actualy discriminating against that particular person? Do you know that you are actually bringing the point across that you do not respect that person?

"But I was only joking what... not as if I mean it..."

Yes but what would the other person think? Will he/she think that it is a joke? Put yourself in others shoes. If a lot of people calls you 废物, then what would you do? (Sounds familiar eh, people from 2-2 (07)?)

God had gave each and every one of us talents. But the catch is that we have to discover it for ourselves. Of course God gives hints here and there... So we have different talents and therefore have no need to feel inferior when you are with another person who may have discovered his/her talent already.

I was talking to one of my classmates ytd, and he/she (do not want to reveal identity) told me that my talent could be that I am able to talk to people to make them feel better and I am able to look on the positive side of any situation the other person may be facing.

Well, I don't think that is a talent. I learnt that from some cool people from my church. Naming a few... Ben, Joash, Josh, Joel etc. They are like powerful people... Last year, when I just joined in the Music Min, I noticed that Ben was very nice to everybody and anybody and Josh was like one of the first person I knew thru the Music Min... now he's my CG leader... awesome...

Ok... too much digression... Anw, I seen that they are nice people and that they know how to talk to people. So... yeah if any old 2-2 people realised that this year I seem different it is because God changed the way I communicate to people ... And God must have arranged everybody in such a way that I seen the above mentioned people as role-models to me.

So...

Ben Hooi: Ever since Sec 2, when Daniel, Joel, Josh Teo and you had taken the Sec 2 and 1 guys under your hand, I really liked your attitude. The way you treat people, the way you can liven the atmosphere around you. And also how you can be serious when it is time to be serious...=D

Joash Ng: Well, you are one powerful man. Remember that time... the youth camp during the year 2005, you were like my bunk IC. I really liked how you can get things organised and running. I learnt a lot from you too... =D

Josh Lee: Josh, you are cool... seriously. I wonder if you remember when I first joined the Music Min and its the first time I was playing... You were like trying to get me to talk but I would not... partly was quite stressed... But, yeah, that really impacted me about how you can socialise very well and how you take the extra step to talk to people you do not know. I'm trying to do likewise... but it is not working too well... will need a lot of extra work... I find that you are a good CG leader, usually when I rant a lot on the line, you bothered to listen... which is something I find very good, as it makes people feel rather appreciative. Been trying this in class too... and I must say it works... sort of. =D

Joel Tay: I find you very amusing sometimes. Sacastic too, sometimes... But during the class last year, I think that you take it very seriously and that you put your best into the class prep. This also inspired me a lot... =D

Minwei Lee: Although a lot of people think that you are serious and a miss-no-jokes-whatsoever, I think that you are very headstrong and that you can keep to the tasks at hand... although sometimes digressions are unavoidable... I'm trying to pick that skill of focus up, and it still needs work... =D

Melena Wu: I do not know you so well, but from the way you coach me at prac, I can see that you are very patient with a slacker like me =P... Really find the patience very inspiring... =D

Jon Seet: I find you a very good friend and that you can correct me when I got some facts wrong without any trace of sacarsm or gloat whatsoever. It's a very awesome skill of talking and I must admit, I can't do this naturally. =D

Reuben Kam: (forgive me if I got the surname wrong...) I find you a very nice and engaging person to talk to. And, yeah, I really like how you can be so open and share with people about your problems... =D

Of course there are more people to mention about... It's just that I'm still planning what to dedicate to you. =D

I really thank God that I get to meet you guys/gals because I learn a lot through you guys/gals, be it spiritually or psychologically, God and His Word or communication and socialising skills. You all are role-models to me on this earth!

Praise God for all these wunnerful people =DD

God's love for us is so powerful to the extent where He sent His own son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins! Is there any other love that is as perfect?

If that is a blow to the devil, the next blow would kill 'im... because Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later, showing that thru Jesus, we can also be sinless and rightfully be children of God! =D

Jesus rocks my world, did I tell you that?

"Everythin' comes alive in my life as we lift you up"
"Free-dom is here"
