Vengence

I was talking to one of my church friends today, and he was telling me about how he was disturbed in class, and in retaliation, destroyed the disturber's stuff.

It is quite common eh? Whenever you get shot with an insult, you would hit that person or do some other stuff, like taking whatever within reach and just throw it at that person. Yes, I was like that last year, I admit. I'm not perfect...

A passage written by Paul, which bring forth what God has to say about this.

Romans 12:9-19, 21
==========
(9) Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affection, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

(14) Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

(17) Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord...(21) Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
==========

We must never ever take revenge. Taking revenge only leaves the wound infected, instead of curing it.

Of course, don't go to God and ask Him "God! Help me! Got someone in class is harassing me" while actually you yourself got the fire started.

Sweet irony.

The passage above is kinda self-explainatory...

If ever someone disturbs you, forgive him/her. Love him/her as your own sibling. Jesus first loved us when he died on that cross.If Jesus can show those kinda love, so can we. Do not forget, we are completely soaked in sin. God and sin cannot co-exist. But because God loves us so much that He actually sent Jesus to die on the cross for us.

Wow, feeling so emo now that I did not want to colour the post

"Everythin' comes alive in my life as we lift you up"
"Free-dom is here"
