Talked to minwei ytd... hopefully I can join the electric guitar sector for Yoof service after my exams...

Anyway, ytd we had class... And mainly going thru one of the armour of God, 'The Shield of Faith'

What is a shield actually used for? It is mainly for blocking the enemy's attacks, be it arrow or spear (rmb my compo guys? =DD)

I won't touch on the Shield of Faith but more on Faith.

What is faith?

According to Dictionary.com, it says:

confidence or trust in a person or thing: faith in another's ability.

belief that is not based on proof: He had faith that the hypothesis would be substantiated by fact.

belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion: the firm faith of the Pilgrims.

Well, yesterday during class, Clara brought up that faith is also an acronym, and here it is:

Forgiveness of sin
Assurance of Salvation
Identification in God's family
Triumph over Satan
Hope of Deliverance

Quite cool eh? Kinda summarises up the point about faith.

Anyway, last thrusday was like hell for me during class... I think some of you would know, I was like super stressed and stuff... Actually it was a devil attack, and I had not prepared my Shield of Faith at that time.

The devil was like telling me that God made me outta spare parts, the ones you can find in recycle bins and that my exams are gonna flunk like crazy because God does not care about me. What's more, the devil was telling me the last few days: (not word for word)
"You look like crap, do you know that?"
"Face it, you are not as handsome as ________"
"You like ______ but do you think that she would? You look disgusting!"
"Stop lying to yourself. God did not make you as his own image."
"You are not as popular as ______ so go and cause ______ some harm!"
and so on and so forth. (It's up to you to fill up the blanks. Because even if you hit the jackpot, I still will not tell you)

And... I actually believed his bloody lies.

Thursday, after school, I thought I would go mad, because the devil was raining insults and planting them in my mind. My parents were a little concerned and they excused me from going to the Music class in the afternoon.

I dunno if this is normal or not, actually. I was so angry with myself at that time. My parents told me that this is the devil at work and gave me a few hard facts about God. After hearing them, wow, I was really encouraged! After that, during the entire afternoon, instead of revising, I was playing my electric guitar like crazy. With top gain and volume, I started to worship God during that time.

If you guys want to hear a bit, drop by to my house after the exams! I'm a super noob compared to my church buddies though.

I still cannot say that I will never get affected by the devil, but I believe I can counter him with God's word and by praying to Jesus =)
